Mount Greylock Volleyball Returns to Western Mass Final

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Celina Savage and Jackie Brannan each had seven kills Friday to lead the Mount Greylock volleyball team to a three-set win over Mohawk Trail in the semi-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class D tournament.

 

The Mounties move on to Sunday’s regional title game after a 25-9, 25-13, 25-15 win.

 

Brannan served six aces and recorded a pair of blocks, and Kylie Sweren served eight aces in the win.

 

Mount Greylock (14-3) will face Turners Falls, a winner over Lee on Friday, in Sunday’s title game at noon at West Springfield High School. The two teams did not meet in the regular season.

 

Last year, the Mounties fell to Lee in the Western Mass final.
