Petropulos, Mount Greylock Golfers Edge Hoosac Valley

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Hoosac Valley's Ian Capiello earned medalist honors, but the Mount Greylock golf team Tuesday pulled out a 188-192 win at Waubeeka Golf Links.

 

On a rainy, windy day in South Williamstown, the Mounties managed to compile four scores in the 40 to secure the victory.

 

Owen Petropulos led the way for Mount Greylock with a 44. The Mounties also scored rounds from Jacob Hillman (47), Tommy Art (48) and Ben Dingman (49).

 

Frank Field finished at 47 for Hoosac Valley (2-4), which also scored rounds from Gabe Bishop (50) and Zack Mungeon (52).

 

Field had the day's only birdie for either team, on the sixth hole.

 

The Hurricanes host Lenox on Wednesday.

 

Mount Greylock (4-3) is at Taconic on Thursday.
