Mount Greylock Boys, Girls Earn Pair of Dual Meet Wins

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – The Mount Greylock boys track and field team dominated the throwing events on the way to a pair of dual meet wins over Monument Mountain and Wahconah on Monday.

 

Ryan Goss won the shot put and the discus, and the Mounties swept the discus in starting the season 2-0.

 

Mount Greylock’s boys took seven of the nine top three finishes in the three throws. Jenner Kittle placed first in the javelin for the Mounties.

 

Mount Greylock also had a double-winner in the sprints, where Jack Catelotti took first in the 100 meters and the 200 meters.

 

Wahconah’s Brennan Andersen swept the hurdles in the boys meet.

 

In the girls meet, Mount Greylock also took home a pair of dual-meet wins behind a pair of wins by Kate Swann, who took first in the 800 and the 1,600.

 

Wahconah had two double-winners on the track, where Aryianna Garceau won the 100 sprint and 100 hurdles and Olivia Gamberoni took the 200 and the 400. Gamberoni also won the triple jump with a mark of 32 feet, 9-1/4 inches.
