Mount Greylock Downs Turners Falls to Reach Western Mass Final

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Celina Savage had 16 kills Thursday to lead the Mount Greylock volleyball team to a four-set win over Turners Falls in the semi-finals of the Class D Western Massachusetts tournament.

 

Savage had four blocks and served a pair of aces in the 25-14, 25-20, 23-25, 28-26 win, which sends the Mounties to Saturday morning’s regional final against Lee at West Springfield High School.

 

Takiera Darrow had eight kills and pulled up a team-high 18 digs.

 

Charlotte Coody passed out 37 assists and served nine aces to go with four kills.

 

Jackie Brannan had eight kills, and Kyle Sweren had eight digs, three aces and a pair of assists.
