Mount Greylock Golfers Top Monument Mountain

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Xander Axt, Ben Prescott and Cayden Conry each carded a 46 on the front nine at Wyantenuck Tuesday to tie for medalist honors and lead the Mount Greylock golf team to a 187-193 win over Monument Mountain.

 

Forty-six was a popular score as Monument’s Ben Shultis also tied for the low round of the day.

 

Mount Greylock also used a 49, which it got from both Brayden Smith and Paul Roeder playing in the lead group.

 

Spartan No. 1 Brady Whalen turned in the only birdie of the day, on the par-4 10th hole; the match used the first eight holes and No. 10.

 

Monument used scores from Bradley Danyluk (48), Andrew Churchill (49) and Curt Wilton (50).

 

The Spartans are at Taconic on Thursday.

 

Mount Greylock hosts Hoosac Valley on Wednesday.
