Albert Leads Mount Greylock Volleyball in Solid Opening Effort

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Mount Greylock senior captain Maddie Albert notched six aces, 16 assists and one kill to lead the Mounties to a 25-20, 25-12, 25-19 win against a tenacious Monument Mountain squad on Thursday.

 

The Mounties had a solid team performance. Captain Caroline Hadley (five aces, eight kills ), captain Marley Buffis (five aces, 14 digs ) junior Lucy Shepard (four aces, five kills, four digs) and sophomore  Emma Hayward (four aces, four kills, six digs) were some of the contributors in the win.

 

Monument Mountain fought hard and consistently showed a never quit attitude but in the end Greylock's experience won out.

 

Monument's Ali Hiller had three digs and three blocks, and Elena Hangeman had three aces, three digs, and two kills in the loss.
