Wahconah Golf Team Punches Ticket for Western Mass Tourney

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Wahconah’s Jon Dos Santos birdied two holes en route to a 2-over-par round of 37 to earn medalist honors and lead his team to a Western Mass tournament-clinching win over St. Joseph on Thursday at Pontoosuc Lake Country Club.

 

Dos Santos birdied the par-4 second and par-5 third holes and finished the day as the only golfer to shoot in the 30s.

 

Nate Dos Santos came the closest to catching him. He birdied the par-3 eighth hole on his way to a 40. Vinnie Orlandi and Noah Bracci also scored for Wahconah with a 46 and a 47, respectively.

 

St. Joseph was led by Mike Gingras, who carded a 42.
