ADAMS, Mass. – Kesler Anello carded a 1-under-par round of 35 at Forest Park Country Club on Monday to lead the Wahconah golf team to a 149-202 win over Hoosac Valley.

Anello birdied two par 4s, the third hole and the ninth, to earn medalist honors on a day when four Wahconah golfers finished in the 30s.

Carter Drake carded a 37 and Tim Kaley finished at 39. Logan Aitken broke 40 for the first time in his high school career with a 38 after finishing his day with a birdie on No. 9.

“Tremendous night for my young guns,” Wahconah coach Pete Terpak said. “Kesler Anello playing in only his 3rd Varsity match, takes home medalist honors with an impressive 35. First of many, trust me. Milestone night for Kess, super proud of him. Rock solid play from veteran Carter Drake with a 37 and Logan Aitken shooting 38 is a huge step for the young sophomore. Great stuff all around tonight for our squad.”
