Wahconah Second at Unified State Meet

NATICK, Mass. -- The Wahconah Unified Track and Field Team placed second at Tuesday's State Championships at Natick High School.
 
Five Wahconah athletes won their event at the meet.
 
Arianna Williams won the Tier 1 long jump with a mark of 1 foot, 8.5 inches.
 
Alex Washburn took first in the Tier 5 javelin with a throw of 35-9.
 
Anthony Redd won the Tier 7 shot put with a mark of 39 feet-8.
 
Ethan Cowell took gold int he Tier 4 shot put with a throw of 23-3.
 
And Madison Hallock won the 400 dash in Tier 3 in a time of 1 minute, 49.87 seconds.
 
Wahconah also had a second-place relay quartet in the 4-by-400.
 
Mount Greylock eighth-grader Parker Langenback placed fourth in his division in the javelin with a throw of 6-1 and sixth in the 100 with a time of 1:04.75.
 
In the 400, Mount Greylock seventh-grader Laurelin Rotter was fifth in their division with a time of 1:35.52.
 
And the Mounties' Cole Narey leapt 1-5 to place seventh in the long jump.
