Mount Anthony Boys, Girls Swim Past Wahconah

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Cooper Niles won a pair of events Wednesday to help the Mount Anthony boys swim team earn a  94-41 win over Wahconah.

 

The Patriots won the girls meet, 73-50, behind a pair of wins from Emily Tibbetts.

 

Tibbetts won the 200-meter individual medley in 2 minutes, 49.47 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 1:18.53.

 

Sarah Kunzmann and Elizabeth Wheeler turned in a couple of second-place finishes apiece for Wahconah – Kunzmann in the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, Wheeler in the 50 free and 500 free.

 

In the boys meet, Niles won the 200 IM in 3:06.22 and the 100 free in 1:09.34.

 

Wahconah’s boys got wins from Liam Looney in the 100 back (1:38.40) and Riley Gladu in the 100 breaststroke (1:34.17).
