Wahconah Volleyball Edges Turners Falls

DALTON, Mass. -- Olivia Mason and McKenzie LaBier each had six kills Wednesday as the Wahconah volleyball team defeated Turners Falls in four sets.

 

LaBier also had three blocks and an ace in the 25-21, 25-22, 23-25, 26-24 thriller.

 

"Wahconah almost finished in three sets after trailing 12-22," coach Dave Lussier said. "Hannah Friedman went on a long service run, bringing the set to 19-22. A pair of side outs made the score 20-23. Wahconah brought it to 23-23, but Turners finished the set 25-23.

 

"The fourth set was similar back and fourth throughout."

 

Friedman finished the match with four aces and four kills.

 

Wahconah (4-0) goes to Mahar on Friday.
