Mount Anthony Boys, Girls Swim Past Wahconah

BENNINGTON, Vt. – Kendal Madison won a pair of events Tuesday to lead the Mount Anthony girls swim team to a 78-58 win over Wahconah.

 

Madison won the 100-yard freestyle in 1 minute, .54 seconds, and the 100 backstroke in 1:15.60.

 

Arlynn Keefner won the 100 butterfly for Wahconah, touching in 1:28.30. She also swam a leg on Wahconah’s winning 200 freestyle relay quartet. Keefner, Sarah Kunzmann, Abby Cobb and Sheffield Drewry teamed up to finish in 2:11.50.

 

IN the boys meet, the Patriots earned a 78-31 win.

 

Cooper Niles won a pair of events for Mount Anthony, taking the 200 individual medley in 2:57.59 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:22.33.

 

Evan Strout won a pair of events for Wahconah.

 

Strout took the 100 free in 1:12.45 and the 100 back in 1:27.52.
