GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- For the second time this week, the Wahconah golf team took on the front nine at Wyantenuck and walked away with an impressive win.

Four different Wahconah players birdied the seventh hole in a 163-211 win over Monument Mountain on Thursday.

Pat McCLaughlin had one of those birdies en route to earning medalist honors with a 2-over-par 37.

Timmy Kaley backed him up with a 39, and Brady Breitmaier and Kevin Esko scored with rounds of 41 and 46, respectively.

“Today I really liked what I saw from Brady ‘Big Bear’ Breitmaier,” Wahconah coach Pete Terpak said. “He started the day with a quadruple-bogey 8 on the par-four 1st hole. Brady regained his composure to go plus-2 the rest of the way. That really shows me a lot when a player can recover like that.”

Gregory Kay led the Spartans with a 42 that included a birdie on the fifth hole. Noah Kisiel and Paul Naventi each carded a 52, and Liam Trask scored with a 61.

Monument Mountain plays Mount Everett on Monday.

Wahconah (6-1) goes to Berkshire Hills to play Taconic on Friday.
