Wahconah's Figiela Fourth at Western Mass Girls Golf Tourney

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Wahconah’s Emily Figiela Thursday finished tied for fourth place at the Western Massachusetts Girls Individual Golf Championship at Franconia Golf Course.

 

Figiela finished with an 85 to place four strokes behind champion Camille Richmond of Northampton.

 

Richmond won the title on the first playoff hole after tying Pope Francis’ Jaelyn DeBoise through 18 holes.

 

Alora Assad of East Longmeadow placed third with a round of 84, one ahead of Figiela.

 

Four strokes behind Figiela was teammate Kristina Cusson, who carded an 89.

 

Mount Greylock’s Nicole Overbaugh placed 10th at the event,, finishing with a score of 100.

 

Twenty girls from throughout the Western Mass section competed.
