Athletes of the Week: Field & Lincoln

Fallon Field, Hoosac Valley
Sophomore Fallon Field helped the Hurricanes to a 2-0-1 week after a 1-2 start to their season. In wins over Taconic and Lenox, Field scored four times, including a hat trick against the Millionaires, to take over the team scoring lead with six this season. She also has two assists for the 'Canes (3-2-1).

Nick Lincoln, McCann Tech
Junior Nick Lincoln completed seven passes for 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Hornets' 20-14 win over Mohawk Trail on Sept. 12. The Cheshire native has directed the McCann football team to a 2-0 start this season.

"He made a couple of tremendous throws out there," McCann coach Bob LeClair said. "He escaped things and threw 'em out there, and kept his cool and knew where the people were going to be and delivered it. ... There were a couple that were under pressure, but he stepped up and made outstanding plays."

iBerkshires Sports and Capital Region Honda Dealers, including Bedard Honda in Cheshire, will be spotlighting two Berkshire County high school athletes each week, a boy and a girl, who best excelled in their sport or boosted their teams' efforts.
