Cappiello Leads Hoosac Valley Golfers to Road Win

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Ian Cappiello carded a 49 on Wednesday to take medalist honors and lead the Hoosac Valley golf team to a 221-289 win over Mount Everett at Wyantenuck Country Club.

 

"Both teams are very young this year," Mount Everett coach Tony Bleau said. "Everyone played hard and showed exceptional sportsmanship. We'll be working hard throughout the remainder of our season, and we're excited for the team's growth."

 

Eli Smith led the Eagles with a 63.

 

Mount Everett goes to Lenox on Thursday. Hoosac Valley hosts Monument Mountain on Friday.
