Hoosac Valley Edges Wahconah
DALTON, Mass. -- Henry Sniezek carded a 5-over-par 41 on Tuesday to lead the Hoosac Valley golf team to a 192-198 win over Wahconah on the back nine at Wahconah Country Club.
“Henry Sniezek had a very steady 41 on a wet and tough back nine to lead all scorers,” Wahconah coach Pete Terpak said. “With the Hurricanes shooting 192, the young Warriors could not capitalize on the opportunity that was presented to them. The kids are disappointed but hats off to Hoosac for hanging in there and grinding out a win.”
Hoosac Valley (11-1) scored rounds from Corben Craig (48), Luc Trombley (51) and Justyn Cowell (52).
Pat McLaughlin carded a 45 to lead Wahconah (10-3), which also scored rounds from Caden Frazier (48), Dan Wilson (52) and Kristina Cusson (53).
Wahconah goes to Monument Mountain on Thursday.
