Sniezek, Hoosac Valley Edge Mount Greylock by One Stroke

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Henry Sniezek and Corben Craig each carded a 43 on the front nine at Waubeeka Golf Links Wednesday to lead the Hoosac Valley golf team to a 179-180 win over Mount Greylock.

 

Xander Axt finished at 41 to earn medalist honors and lead the Mounties.

 

Hoosac Valley scored rounds of 45 from Colby Rougeau and 48 from Justyn Cowell to earn the win and bounce back from its first loss of the season, to Lenox, earlier this week.

 

Mount Greylock scored rounds from Owen Petropulos (45), Joe Jones (47) and Paul Roeder (47).

 

Jones and Axt each recorded a birdie, on No. 4 and No, 8, respectively.

 

Hoosac Valley’s Siezek finished with a birdie on No. 9.

 

Mount Greylock hosts Lenox on Thursday.

 

Hoosac Valley goes to Taconic on Wednesday.
