Taconic's Papirio Takes Title in Chicopee

CHICOPEE, Mass. -- The Taconic wrestling team placed third out of 16 teams at the Chicopee Tournament on Saturday.

 

Taconic, which is 10-1 in dual meets this winter, was edged by Wayland and Putnam.

 

Mason Papirio earned a touranement title at 138 pounds, and Isiah Williams finished second at 152.

 

Taconic got third-place finishes from Zabion Powell (132) and Tyler Klose (195). Zach Mathes (106), Tanner Hastings (170) and Dalton Peck (285) each finished fourth.
