Taconic Wrestlers Finish Fifth in N.Y. Tourney

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Isiah Williams and Tanner Hastings each placed second place to lead the Taconic wrestling team to a fifth place finish at the Schenectady Tournament on Saturday.
 
The event attracted 16 teams -- 15 from New York's Capital District plus Taconic.
 
Besides Williams at 152 and Hastings at 170 reaching the finals, Taconic saw 285-pounder Dalton Peck reach the consolation finals.
 
Six Taconic wrestlers reached the consolaion semis: Zack Mathes (106), Jake Maher (120), Zabion Powell (132), Mason Papirio (138), Austin Houghtaling (182) and Teyler Hiestand (220).
