Taconic Hockey Falls in Tournament Consolation Game

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Nick Demaio and Matthew Villandry scored two goals apiece to lead West Springfield to an 8-4 win over Taconic on Sunday in the consolation game of the Chicopee Winter Classic at Smead Arena.

 

Andy Cella scored twice, and Brandon Peaslee and Kevin Quinto scored a goal apiece for Taconic, which got assists from Nikos Gian, Steven Poripski, Brian Henault and Patrick Terpak.

 

West Springfield improved to 1-3-1 with the win.

 

Taconic (0-4) is off until Jan. 6, when it plays at Brattleboro, Vt.
