Quinto Hat Trick Powers Taconic Icers

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Kevin Quinto had a hat trick and set up a goal to lead the Taconic hockey team to a 7-2 win over Greenfield on Wednesday at the Boys & Girls Club.

 

Steven Poripski scored twice, and Mike Schnopp made 15 saves to earn the win before Pat Rice came on in relief, stopping one shot.

 

Taconic started out strong with five first period goals -- two by Quinto, two by Poripski and one by Andy Cella.

 

After Greenfield answered with two goals in the second, Quinto and Harrison Rapant answered for Taconic.
