Taconic Bowlers Sweep Match, Narrow Standings

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Kyla Croshier and Abby Bliss Friday led the Taconic bowling team to a 3-0 win over Drury to pull within a point of first place in the Berkshire County HIgh School Bowling League.
 
Croshier rolled a 168 game that was second in the league among the girls, and Bliss had a 145 game and a 270 series that was second for the girls at the weekly meet at Cove Lanes.
 
Drury got a 233 game and 396 series from Colby Malloy in the loss.
 
First-place Lee earned a 2-1 win over McCann Tech on Friday.
 
The Wildcats were led by Devyn Fillio, who rolled a 224 game and 413 series – both top among the girls on Friday. Teammates Hailey Hadsel and Maddie Kotek finished with a 145 game and 233 series, respectively.
 
McCann Tech was paced by Reilly Lefebvre, who had the day’s high score (244) and high series (427). Teammate Ryder Lefebvre contributed a 233 game to help the Hornets earn a point in the standings.
 
In the day’s third match, Monument Mountain swept Pittsfield, 3-0, behind Steve Woodard’s 404 series, the second best among the boys on Friday.
 
Pittfield got a 230 game from Matt Dupuis and a 201 series from Grace Mason.
 
Next Friday, the league rolls into Pittsfield for a meet at K&M Bowling.
 
Varsity league standings: 1. Lee, 12-3; 2. Taconic, 11-4; 3. Monument Mountain, 9-6; 4. McCann Tech, 7-8; 5. Drury, 5-10; 6. Pittsfield, 1-14.
