Maffuccio Leads Taconic Golfers Past Hoosac Valley

ADAMS, Mass. -- Gavin Maffuccio carded a 38 Friday at Forest Park Country Club to lead the Taconic golf team to a 163-199 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

Maffuccio earned medalist honors, and Jason Fields birdied the par-4 eighth hole.

 

"Second day in a row with Gavin Maffuccio going under 40 in a match with back-to-back 38s," Taconic coach Matt Capeless said. "Our team did a good job managing the tricky Forest Park layout."

 

Corey Charron finished his day with a birdie on the par-4 ninth hole for Hoosac Valley. Zach Mongeon led the Hurricanes with a 40.

 

Hoosac Valley hosts Lee on Tuesday.
