Taconic Golfers Top Monument Mountain

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Five different Taconic golfers finished within eight strokes of par on Friday en route to a 167-189 win over Monument Mountain at Berkshire Hills Country Club.

 

Mitch Hall and Gavin Maffuccio led the way for the Thunder, sharing medalist honors with rounds of 41.

 

Jason Fields finished at 42, and Charley Driscoll and Simon Mele each carded a 43.

 

"Nice bounce back win after a tough match against Lenox," Taconic coach Matt Capeless said. "We're looking forward to getting back in action on Monday against Lenox."

 

Gregory Kay carded a 44 to lead Monument Mountain, which goes to Lee on Tuesday.
