PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Taconic High sophomore Ayden Anderson Tuesday carded a 40 to tie for medalist honors and lead the Pittsfield-Taconic cooperative golf team to a 174-183 win over Hoosac Valley at Berkshire Hills Country Club.

Anderson birdied the par-3 seventh hole on his way to a 5-over afternoon.

He tied the Hurricanes’ Zach Mongeon for the best score of the day.

Anderson was backed by senior captain Cam LaFerriere (43) and Mitch Hall (44), who birdied the par-4 eighth.

“We have had a different top scorer in each of our three wins to start the season,” Taconic coach Matt Capeless said. “We are making improvements everyday and they’re making it tough on me to determine who’s in the lineup for each match. My team is learning to play under pressure because they have to compete everyday at practice to stay in the lineup. We’ve had a different lineup for each match.”

Taconic’s Gavin Maffucio and Pittsfield High student Jason Fields each finished at 47.

The Thunder (3-0) go to Mount Greylock on Friday afternoon.

Hoosac Valley (1-2) hosts Lee on Friday.

Taconic 174: Ayden Anderson 40; Cam LaFerriere 43; Mitch Hall 44; Gavin Maffuccio 47; Jason Fields 47; Cam Harrington 50.

Hoosac Valley 183: Zach Mongeon 40; Corey Charon 47; Gabe Bishop 48; Gabe Thomas 48; Frank Field 52; Nick Pompi 53.
