Taconic Swimmers Edge New Lebanon

NEW LEBANON, N.Y. – Gage Statley and Mia Zuccalo each won an event, and the Taconic swim team took two of three relays Friday to earn a 48-46 win in a co-ed meet against New Lebanon-Berlin.

 

Statley won the 50-yard freestyle in 25.77 seconds.

 

Zuccalo took the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.02.

 

The Thunder also won the 200 medley relay and 4-by-50 freestyle relay.

 

New Lebanon got a pair of wins from Lance Schroder and Allison Slater.

 

Slater took the 200 individual medley (2:30.23) and 100 backstroke (1:08.20).

 

The Tigers’ Lance Schroder made a cut for the Section 2 meet with a first-place time of 2:13.07 in the 200 free and won the 100 free in 59.43.
