Defense the Difference for Taconic Volleyball in Road Win

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Natalia Dos Santos pulled up 34 digs to lead the Taconic volleyball team to victory at Sci-Tech.

 

Brenna McNeice had 30 digs, and Ciana Bennett had 20 on a solid night for the Thunder’s defense.

 

“The way they covered the floor tonight was absolutely amazing,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said after his team improved to 12-3. “I don't think we let more than two balls drop untouched, and Sci-Tech was really mixing things up on us.

 

“Relentless defense got us the win in Springfield tonight, and I hope that we can carry this same hungry attitude for our final regular season match Monday versus Springfield Central.”

 

Naomi Tayi and Nyashia Daniels each had seven kills, and McNeice passed out 21 assists.
