Murphy, Taconic Golfers Edge Hoosac Valley
ADAMS, Mass. -- Nate Murphy carded a 4-over-par round of 38 at Forest Park Country Club Thursday to earn medalist honors and lead the Taconic golf team to a 173-179 win over Hoosac Valley.
The Hurricanes' Ian Cappiello was a close second, finishing at 39.
Camdyn McKillop backed up Murphy with a 41. Jackson Molleur (46) and Mat Sottile (48) also scored for Taconic.
The Hurricanes scored rounds from Cory Charron (43), Gabe Bishop (45) and Carson Mills and Zachary Mungeon, who each finished at 52.
The county's top individuals will be at Berkshire Hills on Sunday for the Berkshire Classic.
