Taconic Boys Cross Country Posts Dominating Wins

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Jacob Paris led a 1-2-3-4-5 sweep for the Taconic boys cross country team in Wednesday’s four-team event at Reid Middle School.

 

Paris finished with a time of 18 minutes, 54.27 seconds to edge teammates Chris Adams (19:06.86), Mike LaFreniere (19:11.56), Brandon Pelkey (19:23:11) and Zabion Powell (19:36.27) as Taconic earned dominating dual meet wins over Pittsfield and Hoosac Valley.

 

Wahconah also picked up a dual meet win, beating Hoosac Valley, behind PJ Pharmer (19:49.02) and Tyler Olds, who finished sixth and eighth, respectively.

 

The Pittsfield boys were led by Anthony Hunt (19:53.91), who placed seventh overall. Hoosac Valley’s top finisher was Justin Levesque (21:44.80) in 17th.

 

On the girls’ side, Haley Crosier (22:03.00) and Danni Orlando of Wahconah finished 1-2 as their team earned wins over Hoosac Valley and Pittsfield.

 

The Wahconah-Pittsfield girls dual was the closest of the day, with Gabby Orlando, Alexis Henderson and Kaitlyn Olds helping Wahconah pull out a 26-29 win.

 

Pittsfield was led by Cam Diehl, who placed third overall in 22:33.99. Hoosac Valley’s Natiya Cilli cracked the top 10, finishing eighth in 23:42.14 and edging teammate Jamie Barthe (23:47.18)

 

Taconic was led by Hannah Supranowicz, who placed 11th in 25:05.37.
