Corcoran Registers 100th Point, but Mount Everett Icers Fall in OT

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Mount Everett's Jake Corcoran scored twice, notching his 100th career goal in the process, but the Eagles dropped a 7-6 decision in overtime against Southeastern Connecticut on Saturday.
 
Corcoran reached his milestone in the 11th minute on a goal assisted by Max Joyner.
 
Southeastern then went ahead, 2-1, before Mount Everett got goals from Corcoran, Mason Lynehan and Brendan Dempsey to take a 4-2 lead.
 
The Eagles ended up scoring five times in the second period, getting goals from Charlie Grace and Matt DiSilva to take a 6-4 lead into the third.
 
But Southeastern Connecticut's Ryan Huta scored with 41 seconds left in the third period to tie it and again in overtime to win it.
 
Cole Duval made 23 saves for Mount Everett.
