Mount Everett Icers Come Up Short on Connecticut Trip

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Jacob Malicky scored four goals for Mount Everett in a 6-4 loss to Eastern Connecticut on Saturday afternoon.
 
After the Eagles (6-4-3) scored the game's first goal, Eastern Connecticut scored the next four to take a 4-1 lead early in the third period.
 
Malicky then scored twice, but Eastern Connecticut got two more goals to put the game out of reach.
 
"Eastern outworked Mount Everett in front of the net and finished its rebound opportunities," Mount Everett coach Aidan Gilligan said.
 
The Eagles host Taconic on Wednesday night at the Berkshire School.
