Mount Greylock Wrestlers Top Mount Everett

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Zack Boyles and Dan Bondini each earned a pin on Wednesday to lead the Mount Greylock wrestling team to a 58-17 win over Mount Everett.

 

There were six contested matches in the dual meet.

 

Boyles pinned Austin Thorpe in 48 seconds at 132 pounds. Bondini stopped Wisdom Ellerby in 14 seconds at 165.

 

Mount Greylock also got a major decision at 126 as Aidan Abreau picked up a 20-12 win over Yaritza Cruz-Bravo.

 

For the Eagles, Diego Cruz (113) and Ian Lanoue (157) each pinned his opponent. Max Manning earned a technical fall with a 16-0 shutout at 144.

 

"Diego, Max and Ian wrestled well," Mount Everett assistant coach Dan Lanoue said. "They all looked solid in their victories. Yaritza [Cruz-Bravo] wrestled a tough match. But Aiden [Abreau] was able to pull out the victory."
