PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Mount Everett boys tennis team swept singles play Wednesday en route to a 4-1 win over Pittsfield on Senior Day for the Generals.

At No. 1 singles, the Eagles’ Isaiah Neski defeated Andrew King, 6-4, 6-2.

“Andrew, a senior at Taconic, was a four-year player for the Generals,” said Daniel Sullivan, the coach of the Pittsfield-Taconic cooperative team. “He had a tough test stepping up to first singles this year, but he was a solid doubles player for his freshman and sophomore seasons.”

At second singles, Jordi Peck defeated Hunter Golin, 6-7, 6-4, 10-2. At No. 3, Jason Peck beat Gianna Arace, 6-3, 6-3.

The Generals earned their point at No. 1 doubles, where Gary Zheng and Noah Krantz defeated Emmett Vollmer and Noah Williams, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3.

“Gary Zheng is a senior who … was a great teammate and leader on Berkshire County-leading squads during his freshman and sophomore years,” Sullivan said.

Mount Everett’s second doubles tandem of Willem Vollmer and Jay Seward-Dailey defeated Cloey Parlapiano and Emmett Krantz, 6-3, 6-3.

Both Parlapiano and Arace are Taconic High seniors. Arace played two years on the Pittsfield-Taconic girls team before playing on the co-ed squad this spring.
