Mount Everett Icers Fall at Newtown, Conn.

NEWTOWN, Conn. -- The Newtown hockey team jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one period and went on to a 7-1 win over Mount Everett on Thursday night.

 

Dylan Boomsma scored a second-period goal for the Eagles with an assist from Josh Hunter.

 

Jack Seward-Daley made 22 saves for Mount Everett, which was outshot 29-16.

 

The Eagles go to Ludlow next Thursday.
