Mount Everett Falls, 3-2, on Senior Night

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Jake Martin scored a pair of goals Monday to lead the Southwick hockey team to a 3-2 win over Mount Everett on the Eagles’ Senior Night at the Berkshire School.

 

The Rams jumped out to a 2-0 lead after two periods, but Josh Hunter scored on assists from Caleb Kollmer and Dylan Boomsma to get the Eagles on the board.

 

Martin scored his second goal of the game unassisted to make it a two-goal margin again. Mount Everett again was able to cut the lead in half, this time on a Boomsma power-play goal.

 

Cole Duval made 29 saves for Mount Everett, which goes to Newtown, Conn., on Wednesday.
