Easthampton Hands Mount Everett Icers Loss in Opener
SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Jake Batcheldor and Garren Gugiel each scored a pair of goals Monday to lead the Easthampton hockey team to a 7-1 win over Mount Everett.
Dylan Boomsma scored with assists from Kyle Benzie and Aidan Alosi to cut the visitors’ lead to 3-1, but Easthampton scored four unanswered goals in the third.
Jake Seward-Daley and Cole Duval combined to make 41 saves for Mount Everett (0-1).
The Eagles host Newtown, Conn., on Saturday.
