McCann Tech Golfers Fall at Pioneer

NORTHFIELD, Mass. -- Pioneer's Jacob Willis shot a 3-under round of 33 Wednesday at Northfield Golf Course, to lead his team to a 15-9 win over McCann Tech in the Hornets' season opener.

 

Willis recorded three birdies -- two on par 5s and one on the par-3 sixth hole -- on his way to 3.5-.5 win in his match at No. 1.

 

His 3-under round was the best by a high school golfer that McCann coach Corbin Brassard has seen in three years of coaching.

 

McCann got match wins Brian Boudreau at No. 5 and Dalton Tatro at No. 6.

 

McCann Tech (0-1) hosts Mohawk on Tuesday.
