McCann Bowlers Top Lee

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Brandon Vallone and Kalley Vanuni Friday led the McCann Tech bowling team to a 21-10 win over Lee on Friday at Ken's Bowl.

 

Vannuni recorded the top game (228) and top series (408) among girls competing in the second week of positional play in the Berkshire County high school bowling league.

 

Vallone had the day's best game (255) and series (462). Lee's Zach Wilson finished with the day's second best game (237) and series (416).

 

Despite Friday's win, MCann remained in second place, 27.5 points behind Lee, going into the Feb. 26 championship at Cove Lanes in Great Barrington.

 

In other action on Friday, Drury beat Pittsfield, 21-10, behind a 200 game and 368 series from Allison Brassard.

 

Brandon Gundlach (219) and Casey Hopkins (181) led Taconic to a 26-5 win over Mount Greylock.

 

And Lee's Orange team topped Monument Mountain, 20-11, despite a 184 game from Alisa Rathbun.
