McCann Tech Golfers Edge Turners Falls in Opener

TURNERS FALLS - The McCann Tech golf team defeated Turners Falls Tuesday afternoon, 13-11, putting them 1-0 for the 2015 season.

 

Matt Jette scored a team-low 46; defeating his opponent Riley Wood who shot a 71. Jette scored four points for McCann with the win.

 

Jake Tower (51), Cole Kratz (50), Tristan McNay (66), and Ryan Meehan (54) all scored for McCann, leading them to their first victory of the season.

 

"Matt Jette shot a season low 46 in his first match," McCann coach Corbin Brassard said. "He really showed up focused."

 

McCann will play again Thursday against Pioneer Valley.
