WESTFIELD, Mass. – Nolan Booth and John Stack each carded a 42 on Tuesday to lead the McCann Tech golf team to a 170-172 win over Westfield Tech.

Kale Kondel and Mason Rondeau rounded out the scoring with a pair of 43s, and all six starters for the Hornets finished in the 40s at East Mountain Country Club.

“Every stroke counts when you play better teams and that is exactly what it came down to in today’s match,” McCann Tech coach Pat Ryan said. “It has been close both times we faced them. It’s great to see our No. 6 player contribute in such a tight match. Also nice to see No. 2 John Stack come ready to play and focus on the team win after a bit of a struggle these past couple of matches.”

Westfield Tech’s Dan O’Connor carded a 37 to earn medalist honors.

McCann Tech (11-0) has two matches left in the regular season starting Wednesday at Mohawk Trail.

“Our team has really come as one these past few weeks and most of the players have contributed in one way or another,” Ryan said. “Another proud coach moment.”
