McCann Tech Girls Earn Three Wins on Road

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Camryn Moran and Kamilia Kondel placed first and second overall on Tuesday to lead the McCann Tech girls cross country team to three dual meet wins at Smith Vocational.
 
Moran crossed the line in 19 minutes, 8 seconds. Kondel followed in 20:31. Julia Vareschi (21:33) and Aliza Rozon (23:37) rounded out the scoring for the Hornets.
 
McCann Tech’s girls picked up wins against host Smith Voc, Hampden Charter and St. Mary’s.
 
The McCann Tech boys went 0-3 against the same three teams, just missing out on a win against Hampden Charter, which prevailed, 27-28.
 
The Hornets’ boys were led by Tucker Wirtes, who placed fifth in 19:04. Smith Voc’s Theo Wojcik won the boys race in 15:47.
 
McCann Tech goes to Pope Francis on Tuesday.
