Oakes, Labarron Lead Hornets to 3-0 Win

Oakes had the best day of any bowler in the Berkshire County League, which made its first North County stop of the winter.
Oakes rolled a 233 game that was the third best for any league bowler this season and had a 425 series that stands second in the league.
Lebarron posted a 192 game and 365 series, the latter the second best in the county this season, as McCann Tech swept Taconic to stay in third place in the six-team league.
Taconic was led by Mitch McCann with a 206 game and 408 series.
First-place Pittsfield and second-place Lee also garnered 3-0 wins at Greylock Bowl and Golf.
The Generals beat Mount Everett behind a 210 game and 408 series from Matt Dupuis. Jason Maguire rolled a 200 game.
Lee beat Monument Mountain, 3-0.
The Wildcats’ trio of Bella Kotek, Devyn Fillio and Maddie Kotek led the way with the week’s second- third-, and fourth-best series among the girls on Friday. Kotek rolled a 173 game and 325 series.
The Spartans got a 200 game and 347 series from Steve Woodard.
The league has two dates coming up this week, at Cove Lanes in Great Barrington on Wednesday and Pittsfield’s K&M Bowl on Friday.
