McCann Tech Competes at Stanley Park, Guns for State Voc
WESTFIELD, Mass. -- The McCann Tech cross country teams competed Saturday at the PVIAC Championships at Stanley Park.
Jadon Hartley led the boys with a time of 19 minutes, 31 seconds on the 3.1-mile course. The race was won by Northampton's Tobias L’Esperance in 15:50.98.
On the girls side, Elliotte Tucker was the fastest Hornet, crossing the line in 26:52. The standard was set by Pope Francis' Emily Boutin in 17:57.94.
McCann Tech was coming off a successful fall campaign in the Pioneer North division.
The boys finished third in their division with a 7-6 record in dual meets.
McCann Tech's girls were fifth out of eight teams in their division, going 3-9 in duals.
The Hornets compete Wednesday at the the Massachusetts Vocational Athletic Directors Association Championship at Wrentham Developmental Center.
