Hampshire Regional Boys, Girls Harriers Win at Windsor Lake

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Reigning Western Massachusetts Division 2 champion Chris Vayda of Hampshire Regional cruised to victory at Windsor Lake Tuesday in leading his team to a pair of wins over Monson and McCann Tech.

 

Vayda finished in 15 minutes, 32 seconds. He was followed by Monson’s David Feister in 16:08.

 

In the girls’ race, Hampshire also finished first as a team behind Sylvie Mahon Moore’s first-place finish of 21:25. She was 48 seconds ahead of runner-up Haley Fennyery of Hampshire.

 

Elliette Tucker led McCann Tech with a time of 28:41.

 

In the boys race, the Hornets were led by Jadon Hartley, who finished 12 out of 39 runners in 18:47.

 

McCann Tech goes to Hampden Charter next Tuesday.

 

Boys team scores: Hampshire 25, Monson 31, McCann Tech 50. 

Girls team scores: Hampshire 23, Monson 38, McCann Tech 50.
