Franklin Tech Golfers Edge McCann Tech

TURNERS FALLS, Mass. -- Franklin Tech's Nate Pelletier earned medalist honors with a 39 and a 3.5-.5 win at No. 2 to lead his team to a 13-11 win over McCann Tech on Tuesday.

 

Nash Morin earned a 4-0 win for the Hornets by shooting a 47, and Ryan Baran (44) and Dylynn Hardee (49) halved their matches.

 

"A notable temp drop, a different course, and a great competitor made for an interesting match," McCann Tech coach Chris Carr said. :It's always exciting to see our players respond to the challenges of a particular match.

 

"Nash Morin had a nice outcome in his round, and Ryan Baran and Dylynn Hardee did great matching their partner's scores in one of our most rigorous matches this season. Franklin Tech had a great showing on the course, and they golfed hard for a close win."

 

McCann Tech competes at the Western Massachusetts Division 3 Championship on Tuesday at Waubeeka Golf Links.
