Yeatons Lead Drury Bowlers into Second Place in League
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Drury’s Zach Yeaton Friday rolled a 247 game and a 473 series to lead the Blue Devils to a 29-2 win over Lee at Ken’s Bowl as Drury moved into second place in the Berkshire County Bowling League.
Aleasia Yeaton and Allison Brassard turned in the day’s second and third best scores among girls to contribute to Drury’s win. Aleasia Yeaton rolled a 180-338, and Brassard rolled a 178-334.
The day’s top performance among the girls was turned in by Mount Everett’s Lynsey Aldam, who recorded a 214 game and a 384 series for the Eagles, who dropped a 25-6 decision to Pittsfield. The Generals were led by A.J. Moore, who had the day’s top game with a 290.
The day’s top series was posted by Tom Hankey Jr. of Monument Mountain. His 505 (279) helped the Spartans defeat the Lee Black squad, 29-2.
Mount Greylock continued to keep a narrow hold on first place in the league standings after beating Taconic, 27-4. Mark Hayden led the Mounties with a 256 game and 475 series, the second best series of the day.
Mount Greylock has 78 points after three weeks of play -- one point ahead of Drury.
Friday’s other match saw McCann Tech beat Wahconah, 29-2. Austin Davine led the Hornets with a 425 series.
On Tuesday, league play resumes at Greylock Bowl and Golf in North Adams, where Mount Greylock will take on Lee and Drury will face Taconic.
