Drury Bowlers Hold First Place, Taconic Moves Up

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Kayla Field rolled a 320 series to help lead the Drury High School bowling team to a 31-0 win over Mount Everett on Friday at Cove Lanes and stay in first place after the 10-week regular season of the Berkshire County Bowling League.
 
The Blue Devils have 232 points this winter, averaging about 23 points per match and finished 19 points better than second-place Lee heading into the two-week position round phase of the season.
 
Lee on Friday rolled past Monument Mountain, 24-7.
 
Taconic, meanwhile, got a 376 series from Brandon Gundlach on the way to a 22-9 win over Pittsfield that vaulted Taconic into third place, ahead of the Generals by one point in the season standings.
 
Lee'S Nick Roy had the day's best game with a 269 and best series (503). Lee's Samantha Farina had the top game among the girls (203), while the Lee Black team's Amanda Rubito had the girls' best series (379).
 
On Tuesday, Feb. 3, position round play begins with Drury facing Lee and Taconic again squaring off against Pittsfield.
