Drury Bowlers Maintain First Place; Lee Tops Pittsfield
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Lee High bowling team outdueled Pittsfield on Friday to retain sole possession of second place in the Berkshire County league.
The Wildcats' margin of victory left first-place Drury with a slightly firmer hold on the top spot.
Lee's Devyn Olds rolled a 454 series to lead the 'Cats to a 19-12 win over Pittsfield on Friday at Ken's Bowl.
That allowed Lee to build on the one-point lead it had on Pittsfield going into the week and gives the Wildcats a 189-181 edge in the points column heading into Friday's competition at Cove Lanes in Great Barrington.
Last week at Ken's, Zach Yeaton rolled a 458 series to lead Drury to a 27-4 win over Wahconah.
Yeaton had the third best game (259) and third best series on the day. St. Joeseph's Jordan Kinnas had the high series (503) and high game (279) in the league.
Taconic's Lynsey Aldam led the girls at Ken's with a 213 game and a 402 series.
On Friday, Drury will face Mount Everett. Lee takes on Monument Mountain. Pittsfield will play Taconic.
