Girls Lacrosse All-Stars Come Together
DALTON, Mass. -- Lee's Lydia Graham scored five goals to lead the yellow team to a 22-15 win over the purple team in this week's Berkshire County girls lacrosse all-star game at Wahconah High School.
Players from the county's five public high school teams were divided into two teams without respect to their actual affiliations for the annual event.
Wahconah teammates Emmy Cote and Perin Genaway each scored four goals -- the former for the yellow squad and the latter for the purple.
"It was nice to see all the girls from different teams come together for a night of fun," said Kathy Budaj, who coaches the Wahconah-McCann Tech cooperative team.
Budaj noted that the officials donated their time to officiate the event.
Four players recorded hat tricks in the game: Hoosac Valley's Holly Cadren, Lee's Alyssa Kelly and Wahconah's Jordan Budaj and Morgan Francese.
Pittsfield's Haley Milne and Lee's Hannah Hunter handled the goalkeeping duties.
The teams included: Alana Chesney, Aubrey Rumbolt, Nikki Gingras, Angela Colson, Kelsy Orpin, Haley Reinhard, Jacey Salvie, Lydia Graham, Emma Miner, Paige Chiaretta, Lauren Curry, Shea Hassett, Kenzie Astore, Maria Giac, Emma Bartini, Julia Whitney, Lindsay Curry, Casey Collins, Caryn Piacenti, Meagan Kohlenberger, Alex Wood and Kelsey Hosley.
